ECODIR values the privacy of the people who visit this
site and who use the ECODIR service. Personal information
is never sold to third Parties
and never used for commercial purposes or revealed
except in accordance with this Policy. ECODIR is
committed
to maintaining the privacy of all individuals who access
the web site and participate in the dispute resolution
process.
Children are not eligible to
use our services and we ask that minors do not submit
any personal information to us.
Collecting,
Using and Disclosing Your Information
ECODIR provides online dispute resolution
services. In the course of providing those services
it is necessary for ECODIR to collect, use and in certain
circumstances disclose, in accordance with this Policy,
information provided by you, either through Web forms,
emails or otherwise.
The information entered by a user
into an ECODIR Form or sent through an email or otherwise
may be sent to the other Parties involved in the dispute
(i.e., the First Party, the Second Party or the Secretariat).
The information shall not be used for any other purpose
except to:
- carry out the dispute resolution
process;
- bill you, as the case may be;
- add value to the forms to enhance
user experience
ECODIR may appoint neutral third Parties
to help you resolving a problem. Appointed neutrals
will have access and use your profile information, your
case information and related exchanges in the course
of the dispute resolution process. Please note that
all neutral Parties are bound by a confidentiality agreement.
ECODIR will only disclose information
if required to do so by a Court. For criminal or civil
fraud investigations ECODIR will disclose information
without notice.
ECODIR may disclose information to
not-for-profit organizations, such as Universities
or
Research Centers, for the purpose of analysis or research
provided they undertake to keep that information anonymous.
If you send us personal correspondence,
such as emails or letter, we may collect such information
into a file specific to you.
We do not sell or rent any information
you provide.

Control
Your Password
To use ECODIR dispute resolution
services you will create a password and a user account.
Maintaining the confidentiality and security of your
password and account is solely your responsibility.
Do not divulge your password to anyone else, and do
not use anyone elses password or account. You
are entirely responsible for all activities that occur
on or through your account(s). Therefore, if your password
has been compromised for any reason, you should immediately
change your password.

Archives
Any documents, correspondence or settlements
related to a negotiation or a mediation file will be
destroyed six (6) months after the file has been closed
except for that information necessary to maintain accounting
and statistical reports.

Access to Private Information
You have a right to access, modify
or correct your personal information at any time.
But,
you should be aware that any information required by
ECODIR is necessary to carry out the dispute resolution
process.

Cookies
A cookie is a piece of data stored
on the users hard drive containing information
about the user. ECODIR uses cookie technology to improve
the experience of its online visitors.
This data is not connected with
user registration and hence, is not personally identifiable.
If you do not whish to have a cookie set when visiting
ECODIR web site, you may change the settings in your
browser. You will then be alerted each time the site
will try to set up a cookie, and will be able to decide
whether or not you want one to be set. This alert will
show you how the cookie will be used and how long the
information will be retained. In all cases, cookies
are disactivated once the user closes the browser.
